In this course, attendees will be introduced to the role of a CISO (Chief Information Security Officer) and strategies to effectively leverage this resource for the betterment of an organization. The focus will be placed on the relationships between CPAs and CISOs and ways to communicate and appreciate the commonalities between the two roles as a means of strengthening the cyber security practices required by organizations today. Finally, the participant will be presented with considerations for engaging fractional CISOs as a means of helping to manage the ever-growing cost burdens associated with procuring, implementing, and sustaining security programs necessary to manage the cyber risks businesses face in 2022.
